BABASSU OIL REFINED

BABASSU OIL REFINED is a vegetable oil obtained from babassu by mechanical pressing, without solvents. It is highly rich in lauric acid, which is a much shorter fatty acid than usually found in other oils. Lauric acid is known for its antimicrobial properties, useful against acne, and for its anti-inflammatory properties. BABASSU OIL REFINED is a good choice in hair and skin care, considering the fatty acid profile and the fact that lauric acid-rich oils penetrate deeper than other typical oils, which provides protection. Furthermore, the fatty acid profile ensures a good oxidative stability. It has a lower melting point, approx. 24 °C, compared to many other butters. Its melting behaviour can also generate a cooling effect on the skin. The product provides good slip properties when applied on the skin. BABASSU OIL REFINED is halal certified.
