DOWANOL DPNB

DOWANOL DPnB is a slow-evaporating, hydrophobic glycol ether solvent with excellent surface tension-lowering ability and coalescing properties. As an efficient coalescent, DOWANOL DPnB helps in lowering the minimum film formation temperature in water-borne latex formulations used in cleaning products. DOWANOL DPnB combines properties like high polymer plasticization efficiency, large molecular size for greater polymer mobility, strong polymer phase partitioning and relatively slow evaporation rate. These attributes result in very high quality latex films essential for applications requiring streak-free shine and residue-free surfaces. DOWANOL DPnB also provides effective grease removal and is useful when blended with other solvents due its good solvent properties for oils and greases common in industrial areas.
