It provides powerful solvency and coupling ability due to its nearly equal balance of hydrophobic and hydrophilic character. BUTYL CELLOSOLVE (USA) is compatible with wide range of resin types and offers 100% water solubility. It is one of the fastest evaporating glycol ethers which makes it suitable for applications where quick drying is required. Its moderate evaporation rate and high dilution ratio allows formulating products with lower VOC content. BUTYL CELLOSOLVE (USA) can be used as an active solvent for solvent-based coatings and as a coalescent for industrial water-based coatings. It also works as a coupling agent for architectural water-borne coatings and in household and industrial cleaners, rust removers, and hard surface cleaners due to its solvency and coupling properties.
