ANDIROBA OIL

ANDIROBA OIL is an oil pressed from the seeds of the Amazonian tree species Carapa guaianensis. For thousands of Amazonian indiginous communities, Andiroba plays a crucial socioeconomic role, and it is widely used in traditional medicine against fever and rheumatism and is used for its anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, insect repellent properties, and against allergies, fever and rheumatism. The oil contains unique limonoids (tetranortriterpenoids), known for their anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic potential. An abundance of (in vitro) tests show clear anti-inflammatory effects on inflammation mediators, and pretreatment in other tests showed a reduction of oedema. Collagen synthesis-promoting properties have also been found, important for elasticity retention. ANDIROBA OIL is COSMOS approved, halal certified and suitable for vegans.
